Overview

Railway Recruitment Board is the authority to conduct the RRB JE Recruitment Exam. The main objective of RRB JE Recruitment is to find out candidates with outstanding acumen and incredible fitness. Exam pattern

The exam pattern for RRB JE 2023 for CBT 1 and CBT 2 Exam as declared by Railway Recruitment Board is as follows- 

1. There shall be negative marking of ⅓ marks for incorrect answers in CBTs. 

2. The duration of CBT 1 Exam is 90 minutes and for CBT 2 Exam is 120 minutes. 

3. In CBT 1, there will be 100 questions and in CBT 2 there will be 150 questions. 

4. The types of questions in Computer Based Test will be Objective type (Multiple Choice Questions).

The detailed subject-wise syllabus for CBT-I is as follows:

  • Mathematics- Number system, Pipes and Cisterns, Calendar and Clock, Age Calculations, Square root, Elementary Statistics, Trigonometry, Algebra Geometry, Profit and Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Ratio and Proportion, LCM and HCF, Percentage, Mensuration, Fractions, Decimal, BODMAS.
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning- Analogies, Statements, Arguments and Assumptions, Directions, Analytical Reasoning, Similarities and Differences, Conclusions and Decision making, Classification, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Venn Diagram, Syllogism, Jumbling, Mathematical operations, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding.
